In addition to the over 27,000 University students, the City of Auburn is the fastest growing
metropolitan area in Alabama. Auburn’s Southern charm is seen in the arts, in its quaint restaurants,
independent boutiques, and availability of cultural opportunities. Located in the Auburn Research
Park, adjacent to Donahue Street and within walking distance of the stadium, VCOM-Auburn Campus is
well integrated into the Auburn University community. Auburn has the many attributes of a college
town and much more.
The vision for the Auburn and VCOM collaboration is to improve the health of Alabama’s citizens,
especially those in rural and medically underserved areas. This private/public partnership will
promote research on the Auburn campus and provide more opportunities for citizens from the region
to attend medical school within Alabama. Auburn University is committed to supporting VCOM students
by providing a rich academic and co-curricular environment.
